Privacy Policy

Readle (“we”, “us”) handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we collect and use information through https://readle.com.au.

Enquiry form
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, mobile number, email address, the type of return, and any optional note you include. We email that enquiry to hello@readle.com.au through Resend and keep a copy in our database.
Onboarding portal
If you use the client onboarding portal we collect the information needed to provide taxation services. That can include your name, preferred name, email, mobile, date of birth, tax file number, residential and postal address, work and income profile, deduction categories, residency and visa facts, and your spouse or partner’s name and approximate taxable income if you tell us you have one.
Tax file numbers and dates of birth are encrypted. We do not email a tax file number, date of birth, address, or the full form. After you submit, staff receive your name, reference, and a link that opens the briefing only after they sign in.
How we use it
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, onboard you as a client, prepare and lodge your individual tax return if you engage us, and meet our professional and legal obligations. We also keep technical information such as IP address and browser type as part of operating the website and protecting it from misuse.
Who else receives it
We do not sell your information. This website and its database are hosted by Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. We send transactional email through Resend. Resend sends that email from Tokyo, Japan. Resend states that the email content, delivery logs, and account records are stored in the United States. Those messages contain a name, email address, verification code or onboarding reference, and a staff sign-in link. They do not contain a tax file number, date of birth, address, or the rest of the form.
We disclose information to the Australian Taxation Office where that is required to provide taxation services, and to other parties when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
An onboarding that is started but not submitted is kept for 365 days after the last activity, then it can be deleted or de-identified.
A submitted onboarding for a person who does not become a client is kept for 730 days from submission, then it can be deleted or de-identified.
A client’s onboarding record is kept until the client asks us to delete it, unless a record-keeping duty requires us to keep it for longer.
Storage and security
Information is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in MySQL on the host named above. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.
Access, correction, and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@readle.com.au or writing to P.O. Box 1251, Rockingham WA 6968. You may also complain to us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
